Kalimera Beach House

Kalimera Beach House blends Edwardian architecture and Mediterranean ambience to create an intimate and inviting home-away-from-home for small groups of family and friends. ‘Kalimera’, Greek for ‘good morning’, promises stunning sunrises and tranquillity.

Drawing on its favourable position within walking distance of Mossel Bay’s blue-flag Santos beach, Kalimera Beach House is the quintessential seaside home, complete with white-washed walls, bleached wooden floors and splashes of nautical blue. The blue front door, stone walls and arches are reminiscent of picturesque Greek villages, while the large bay windows and original ironwork have been preserved to showcase the house’s Edwardian provenance.

Each of the three double bedrooms have been tastefully decorated with antique furnishings including king-sized extra-length beds that can be convert into twin beds, and have generous bathrooms with luxury amenities. One of the rooms has a romantic bay window, one has a balcony, and the third room has a courtyard view. There is also a charming separate cottage that can accommodate one person.

Guests can relax in the large family lounge with couches, TV with DStv and Netflix, Wi-Fi and a 180-degree view of the harbour, beach and the ocean. A second dining and lounge area includes a built-in combustion fireplace and opens out onto another outdoor area with an exterior barbecue and endless sea views. The spacious family kitchen is equipped with modern top-end electrical appliances, and high quality cutlery and crockery. Beach towels and umbrellas are provided for trips to the beach.

The house has been fitted with solar panels and inverters to ensure it is not affected by electrical outages.
