Southern Spoor welcomes Knysna icon

Southern Spoor is pleased to announce that Knysna Log-Inn has joined the Southern Spoor portfolio. An established landmark in the heart of Knysna, the Knysna Log-Inn has been welcoming guests since 1998. Following a recent announcement, Knysna Log-Inn and its adjacent property The Graywood will now be operating as one establishment, offering 106 multiple room types between them, under the Knysna Log-Inn brand.

“We are very excited to be including Knysna Log-Inn into the portfolio,” says Anita Foxcroft, Director of Southern Spoor. “We have had the pleasure and privilege of working with its sister product The Kelway Hotel in Gqeberha for many years, and are delighted to be representing both properties under one umbrella.

We are looking forward to working with the team in Knysna, further growing the brand and taking the message to the trade on their behalf. Each property is well established in its own right and has an excellent management team, and I have no doubt will continue to grow from strength to strength.”

Overview

Like The Kelway in Port Elizabeth, Knysna Log-Inn and The Graywood wing are iconic buildings in Knysna, constructed from indigenous yellowwood timber inspired by the surrounding Knysna forests. Log cabins are synonymous with hospitality, coziness and relaxation, which is exactly what guests will experience at the Knysna hotel. Both buildings have vaulted ceilings typical of log-style chalets, and picture windows looking out onto lush gardens. Each one has a distinguishing feature adding to the charm and character, from the stained glass windows at Knysna Log-Inn, to the steam train memorabilia at The Graywood wing.

Between the two buildings, accommodation options comprise 49 standard and 57 luxury rooms, decorated in a modern, fresh style. All rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, air-conditioning and selected DStv channels.

In summer, guests have two swimming pools to cool off in, surrounded by wooden decks on which to relax and enjoy the sunshine. In cooler weather, guests can warm up in the Jacuzzi and sauna, or with a warming drink in front of a fireplace.

A conference centre caters for corporate groups of up to 120 pax cinema style.

Knysna Log-Inn is located just 350 metres from the popular Knysna Waterfront with its multitude of restaurants, cafés, bars, shops and boat tour operators that traverse the picturesque Knysna lagoon.
