BlackBrick Cape Town Foreshore

CAPE TOWN | WESTERN CAPE

Following the successful launch of BlackBrick Sandton, the industrial-style apartment hotel network now includes BlackBrick Cape Town Foreshore, offering modern travellers a creative, contemporary and affordable hotel and lifestyle destination in the Mother City.

BlackBrick Cape Town Foreshore is located at the intersection of St George’s Mall and the Waterkant Street Fan Walk, close to independent shops, cafes and restaurants, and less than one kilometre from the Cape Town Convention Centre and the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

Staying true to the original concept of repurposing disused commercial properties in central locations as mixed-use apartments and hotel accommodation with a range of work and lifestyle facilities, BlackBrick Cape Town Foreshore is housed in a remodelled 1950s Art Deco office block in the heart of Cape Town’s CBD. The next-generation hotel consists of 100 apartment-style rooms and a mix of hospitality amenities under the ‘BlackBrick Club’ banner, including meeting spaces, work spaces, boxing gym, rooftop yoga studio, cinema room, library and rooftop lounge.

There are four different room categories on offer, all furnished in a contemporary, industrial-chic style, and equipped with a kitchenette, smart TV, work desk and aircon. High ceilings and original parquet flooring showcase the half-century heritage of the building, which was originally known as the African Guarantee Building, designed by distinguished Cape architect William Hood Grant.

Integral to the BlackBrick concept is networking and connecting. On the 10th floor, guests have access to an indoor and outdoor communal area where ideas can be exchanged, meetings held or conversations shared around a pit fire against a backdrop of Cape Town’s city centre, Table Mountain and Lion’s Head.

Catering for digitally connected leisure and business travellers, BlackBrick Cape Town Foreshore has high-speed WiFi throughout the hotel and a number of co-working spaces.

Guests can keep up with their fitness programmes with the gym, personal trainer and yoga studio on site, or join one of the numerous adventure activities on offer in Cape Town, from hiking and kayaking, to paragliding or even shark-cage diving.

The hotel also offers access to in-room massage treatments and mental health practitioners.

Cape Town’s CBD is well known for its café and restaurant scene, with plenty of options to choose from for a bite to eat or drinks at any time of the day. BlackBrick brings a new concept to hospitality where guests are encouraged to stay, work and be free.
