Southern Spoor Celebrates 25 Years of Hospitality Marketing Excellence

Spring is a time of revival, reflection and celebration. This season marks a significant milestone for Southern Spoor as the company commemorates 25 years of dedication to hospitality marketing.

It was in the spring, a quarter-century ago, that Southern Spoor began its journey with a portfolio of nine privately owned and unique properties. “We take great pride in the fact that most of these original properties remain with us today,” says Anita Foxcroft, Director of Southern Spoor.

“Over the years, our portfolio has flourished, expanding to include some of the most iconic, exceptional and privately owned properties in South Africa and Kenya, and, as we now celebrate our 25th anniversary, in Botswana and Mozambique as well.”

Southern Spoor has recently finalised representation agreements with Safari Selection Botswana, a collection of Botswana-owned and operated safari camps, and Mukumbura Hospitality, which boasts a spectacular lodge in Bilene, Mozambique, and an elegant boutique hotel on the Crocodile River in Malelane. These new partners embody the essence of what Southern Spoor seeks in its portfolio: extraordinary venues offering memorable experiences.

“We are thrilled to welcome these exclusive properties to our portfolio, especially at this pivotal moment in Southern Spoor’s journey,” says Foxcroft.

“We look forward to introducing these properties to the market and anticipate a long and rewarding partnership with them.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to express our deep gratitude to all our incredible properties for their ongoing commitment to the portfolio. They form the foundation of our success. Our 25-year journey would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our trade partners, and for that, I extend my heartfelt thanks.”

Reflecting on Southern Spoor’s 25-year journey, Foxcroft adds, “I am often asked how we continue to move forward and innovate, especially in light of the turbulent times our industry has faced. My answer remains the same: it is all thanks to an amazing team that is dedicated, passionate, motivated and professional. The Southern Spoor team has set the benchmark for hospitality marketing, and I have no doubt that we will continue to do so for many years to come.”
